Position Summary:

The HR Benefits Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate day-to-day administration of the ACE benefit programs, which include but not limited to the following areas, health & welfare, retirement savings plans, and the supporting systems.

Responsibilities:

* Monitor the systems and programs that support new hire and Annual Enrollment election

* Promote benefit programs through effective communications and training initiatives through internal vehicle as well as utilizing vendor tools and partnerships

* Document and update all benefits related policies and HR procedures

* Ensure timely filings of all Internal Revenue Service compliance related documents

* Develop a relationship with field HR to gain an understand of employee issues and concerns as they relate to benefits

* Responsible for the education and training of field HR in the benefits arena – provide content expert support

* Manage vendor relationships to ensure that performance is in accordance with HR performance standards and terms of respective contract

* Provide second tier resolution support for employees and field HR Representatives

Requirements:

Bachelors level degree and 3-5 years experience in benefit plans administration, CEBS Certificate preferred

Ability to interpret technical plan documents and develop procedures that comply

In-depth knowledge of relational databases and the ability to diagnosis interface integrity issues with computer systems

Proficient in project management to drive HR initiatives to completion – multitasking

Strong business acumen and strategic perception – compliance oriented

High level of professionalism and ethics

Ability to find alternatives to business needs for those initiatives that fall outside of current benefit design philosophy
