Employers may not be able to legally hire you due to child labor laws in your state. I would advise you advertise with your neighbors with a flyer to do odd jobs, (lawns, painting, weeding, etc.).

I'm 15 and i can't even find a job. There's not going to be much more than stuff like dog walking and mowing lawns. Stores generally aren't hiring anyone under 16.

A:
You have to be 16 most places to get employment. You certainly won't get it without parental permission. If baby-sitting is out, try dog-walking or grass-cutting.

I don't know any businesses who will hire a 15 so a 13 year old is probably not going to be hired either. Ask your parents and neighors for extra work for extra money. You have the rest of your life to work - enjoy your time not working while you are 13. Have fun and enjoy life without responsiblities. You will have them soon enough.

At 13 your job is to do well in school, stay out of trouble and help around the house. You can discuss an allowance with your parents to have spending money. Definitely don't do anything behind their backs as it will backfire on you later. Have a plan and sit down with your parents on why you want to work and an idea on what you want to do. Good luck.

Most places will not hire someone under 16 years old. There are SOME places that will hire a 15 or 14 year old under the table (illegally) but I don't reccomend that so even if your parents did allow you to get a job the law doesn't. You say there are no kids in your neighborhood so how about doing some odd jobs for those older neighbors? Raking leaves, mowing the lawn, keeping up with the garden, helping them do some spring cleaning inside the house etc.

Where do you live? In Canada, the legal age to work is 14. I believe it's even later than that in America. Even if you can legally work, not many employers are interested in employees that young. Corporations only hire teenagers because the minimum wage under 18 years of age is lower than for an adult. Companies would rather have more mature workers, and if the choice is between someone 16 or a 13 year old, the 16 year old will always be hired. Maybe you could ask your parents to let you do more chores to make money? What about mowing lawns or shoveling snow in your neighbourhood?

I don't think you are even legally old enough to work! Just relax and enjoy your childhood, work will come soon enough and then you will wish for the good old days where you didn't have a care in the world! lol Good luck! Maybe you can do yardwork for neighbors or extra chores for pocket money?

A:
Well You aren't allowed to get a real job at your age. But if you are looking for some extra money try doing miscelleneous chores for eople around your neighborhood. Like Doing lawns, trimming hedges, washing cars, cleaning gutters, etc. Just explain to them you are tryin to make some money and ask if they need help with anything. At least that's what i did and i made over $200 in just a few weeks.

don't worry about your parents knowing you've got a job, if you can show anicitave and you can prove that you can manage your time without affect school work there is no way they can/should argue against it. also you are your own person, your not a kid anymore, and your clearly an independently minded person first of all, you need an employment permit issued by the education department of the local council and there are some rules for you getting a job, such as working hours During term time you may work a maximum of 12 hours per week, of which: a maximum of two hours on school days and Sundays a maximum of five hours on Saturdays School holidays maximum of 25 hours per week, of which: a maximum of five hours on weekdays and Saturdays a maximum of two hours on Sunday you can work any where except for places like pubs and betting shops ect. good luck, job hunting
